Tala Khanmalek is a disabled queer agender working parent/writer/activist/scholar/educator of SWANA descent. Her creative writing has appeared in Academy of American Poets Poem a Day, Split This Rock's The Quarry, Indiana Review, Meridian, Barzakh, Zoeglossia, and more. She was the editor of the nineteen sixty nine issue on Healing Justice, which featured the work of movement elder Aurora Levíns Morales. She is a 2023 Creative Captial awardee (with poet heidi rhodes).
