Ready to start putting your work out into the world, but looking for keen eyes and thoughtful feedback first?
We are now accepting applications to our Summer 2025 digital residency, The Workshop. This five-week program is intended for creatives who have a work-in-progress and are seeking constructive feedback and support. Our workshops are guided by seasoned facilitators who have led multiple workshops across genre and format, and are excited to help provide an intimate workshop space that is both tender and rigorous, utilizing Seventh Wave’s signature workshop model.
For our summer 2025 intake, there will be two cohort options and meeting times — Mondays at 5 p.m. PST and Saturdays at 8 a.m. PST — kicking off mid-June and wrapping up in July. (You can see the specific session dates here.) Each session is two hours long, and there is also an optional one-on-one with facilitators that residents can opt into for further feedback and conversation. Our workshops are intentionally genre-agnostic, encouraging residents to read across genres and learn how to offer thoughtful feedback regardless of their own “home genre” or experience. Each cohort will have 7 residents.
There is no fee to apply, but the program itself does cost $450 in order to honor the time and labor of our facilitators and the Seventh Wave team members who oversee the program. There is limited financial aid available for this program, though payment plans are always offered to all participating residents. You can learn more about The Workshop, including specific session dates, our approach to the workshop, and more, on The Workshop information page here.
