Digital Residencies

Our digital residency is a cohort-based incubator for artists and writers to create alongside each other.

We built this program for non-traditional writers, students of story, and those who are looking to reestablish their relationship to their narratives. Our genre-agnostic digital residency includes seven sessions over seven weeks, one-on-one conversations with our experienced facilitators, and an abundance of resources to help writers at any stage of their careers answer the question: “What next?”

In-Person Residencies

Our in-person residencies are structured to nourish your entire creative being.

Our in-person residency program is reserved for Seventh Wave alum — past magazine and anthology contributors, past digital residents, and past team members. These spaces provide a place for our community to get to know each other, and to deepen their relationship to their own work. At our residencies, you’ll get the chance to unplug, wander, nap in a hammock, or sit by a body of water — while also showing up for your fellow residents.

One-Time Talks

We build community through conversation.

Together with both established and emerging writers, we make literary spaces more accessible via one-time talks, reading events, accountability sessions, and launch parties that encourage conversation across disciplines and identities.

“I feel like the structure and open-ended, generative nature of the program is perfect for where I am in my process.”

For writers looking to build a creative practice, we invite you to join our accountability sessions, which are 60-minute virtual spaces facilitated by Seventh Wave community members. There will be occasional writing prompts and shares, but the bulk of these sessions are meant for you to hold space for your own work.
